THE LEARNING2THRIVE PROGRAM

CREATING MATERNAL HEALING COMMUNITIES EVERYWHERE

DESIGNED & BUILT BY

SIX CAROLINA MPH STUDENTS

This Program is dedicated to fostering the mental health of maternal women globally.

SIX TOOLS DESIGNED TO CREATE

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Through COLLABORATIve interaction

Our Mission

In countries with low and middle-income, women suffer from depression during and after giving birth at twice the rate in high-income countries.  Put differently,  roughly 20% of a local population will struggle to thrive in many parts of the world.  In other words, a crisis exists where the loss of human capital will run through many generations.

Six MPH students from UNC’s Gillings School of Global Health recognize how significant this crisis is, and made it their mission to create adaptive and technical tools to address the crisis.  They call their tools the ARC Platform and ARC PROTOCOL.

Over 70% of the Earth’s surface is covered by oceans, making them the planet’s largest habitat.

More than 500 coral species can be found in coral reefs, each contributing to the vibrant colors and biodiversity.

Scientists estimate that there are over 1.5 million species yet to be discovered in the depths of the ocean.

Our Coral Reef Restoration project aims to revitalize degraded coral reefs in Miami through a combination of coral transplantation, artificial reef structures, & community involvement.
